GBC once again tops CDP rating for SMEs
For the third consecutive year, GBC has been awarded the highest CDP rating for SMEs: a score of B. This recognition confirms GBC's ongoing efforts in the areas of environmental management, transparency, and sustainable business practices.
CDP is a globally recognized non-profit organization that assesses companies based on their disclosure of environmental information. With nearly 20,000 companies assessed in 2025, the CDP assessment is one of the most prestigious standards for sustainability and climate transparency.
What does the CDP rating mean for SMEs?
The CDP rating for SMEs is based on a rigorous and independent assessment process. The following aspects are evaluated:
- Quality of environmental data
- Awareness of climate risks
- Implementation of environmental measures
- Evidence of best practices
Scores range from A to D-, with a score of B representing high transparency, sound measures, and ambitious targets. For GBC, this rating is proof of sustainable business practices and responsible corporate governance.
Sustainability at GBC: More than just a promise
“We are delighted to have once again been awarded a B score in the CDP assessment. Sustainability is a central component of our corporate strategy. Our goal is not only to reduce our ecological footprint, but also to inspire our customers and partners on the path to a sustainable economy,” says Nickolay Dobrev, Sustainability Officer at GBC.
Through consistent environmental management, transparent reporting, and innovative approaches to full-service advertising materials, GBC is sending a strong message: Sustainability and economic success are not mutually exclusive; they reinforce each other.
Why the CDP rating is so important
The CDP rating is more than just an award. It shows investors, partners, and customers that GBC actively addresses risks, takes environmental management seriously, and is actively shaping a sustainable future.
Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP, explains:
“A CDP score is a sign of commitment to high-quality data that enables companies to take earth-positive economic decisions that future-proof their operations, improving access to capital, competitiveness and compliance. Tackling environmental risks head-on will create a more resilient economy and increase companies’ ability to innovate and invest. We look forward to seeing all companies build on their accolade and turn their commitments into meaningful and effective action.”
With this renewed score rating, GBC is consolidating its position as a responsible company that combines economic success with environmental responsibility.
