To kick off a successful 2026, it was that time of year again: our annual GBC Kick-Off, which traditionally takes place in January, brought together colleagues from across the company. The day not only provided an opportunity to look back and look ahead, but above all for personal exchange, fresh ideas, and shared motivation.
Review and orientation for the future
A central component of the kick-off was looking ahead to 2026. Building on the experiences of the past year, we reflected on what worked well and where we as a company can improve. The aim was also to set a clear direction for the coming months and to provide impetus that we can use to guide us in the future. The ideas and approaches presented clearly demonstrated the potential for further development at GBC.
Workshops, exchange, and team spirit
This was followed by the day's workshops. In department-specific groups, we worked on an overarching goal for the future and dealt with topics that directly affect our everyday work at GBC. The focus was on reflecting together, developing ideas, and working out approaches that will help us move forward as a company.
The workshops were full of open discussions, commitment, and creative energy. We discussed, tried things out, and worked together to find solutions. In addition to having a lot of fun, we also gained real added value: we learned from each other, gained new perspectives, and took away important ideas for the further development of GBC.
After the workshops, a little game rounded off the official part of the day, because what would a kick-off be without a dose of lightheartedness and team spirit?
A joint finale and a motivated start to 2026
But that wasn't the end of the day. In the evening, we met again in a relaxed atmosphere. Over good food and drinks, we laughed, discussed, and ended the day together. It was a real pleasure to have everyone together again, and the many conversations once again showed how strong the team spirit at GBC is.
Strengthened, motivated, and full of new ideas, we are now starting 2026. We look forward to further developing the topics we have initiated and looking back on our joint achievements at the next kick-off.
