Nicole has been our key player in production and logistics at the USA location since 2023. As a native German who regularly returns to Germany, she took advantage of her visit this year to stop by our headquarters and get a firsthand look at our latest developments. During her visit, she discovered some fascinating differences in production and logistics between our two sites.
A particular highlight of her tour was our new packaging machine. This made her reflect: “What are the differences in production and logistics between the locations?”
Here are a few interesting differences Nicole noticed:
In the USA:
The focus here is on fast, flexible processes and expanding on-demand manufacturing. In 2024, we significantly invested in new printing and embroidery machines to bring more production in-house. The finishing department is now considerably larger than at the German site. This allows us to operate efficiently in a large market and quickly meet customer demands.
In Germany:
Processes here are traditionally more stable and detailed, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and precise manufacturing. Particularly in logistics, we are increasingly relying on automation. Our new packaging machine is a prime example—it helps us meet growing demand while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Why is this exchange so important?
The exchange between our locations is crucial. It allows us to learn from each other and continuously improve our processes—both in the USA and Germany. Combining different approaches and perspectives strengthens us as a company and creates a true win-win situation for everyone involved.
For GBC, international exchange is an essential part of our strategy. Only through constant dialogue and knowledge sharing can we overcome global challenges while driving innovation and efficiency forward.
