Parental leave – a special time filled with precious moments
Parental leave is a unique phase in life, full of new experiences, challenges, and, above all, countless precious moments with family. In our post about his farewell into parental leave, we wished Valentin all the best for this special journey. Now he’s back, bringing not only many new stories with him but also fresh impulses and motivation for our work together at GBC.
Valentin’s experiences during parental leave and returning to work
When asked about the most beautiful moment during his parental leave, Valentin can’t single out just one – he says it was all wonderful. But if he had to choose, it would be witnessing his son’s first steps, an unforgettable moment!
And what did he miss most during parental leave? Without a doubt: his colleagues and the office atmosphere. “And the delicious coffee from our coffee machine,” he adds with a laugh. It’s the little things that make everyday work life special and make returning after parental leave even nicer.
New perspectives and motivation after parental leave
Valentin didn’t make a big plan for his return to work. “Just do it. Continue exactly where I left off before parental leave,” he says confidently. This relaxed attitude shows his certainty that he will quickly find his usual rhythm again.
Did parental leave give him new energy or perspectives for his job? “Not really,” he says, but his motivation has shifted: “You’re no longer just doing it for yourself, but also for your little one, so you can give him everything.” A beautiful thought that shows how priorities can shift with returning to work after parental leave.
No regrets!
Would he do anything differently next time? “No, I would do everything exactly the same,” Valentin says confidently. A great mindset that shows he made the most of this time – for both his family and himself.
